Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
Exeter Network Church is delighted to be partnering with CAP to run the debt advice centre.
If you are struggling with debt and live in postcode areas EX1, EX2, EX3, EX4 or EX5 0800 328 0006 is the number to ring to make an appointment with our office. Around the country thousands of families have already been released from the pressure of debt through a combination of advice, financial education, budgeting and insolvency services.
Our heart is to reach families in Exeter who are living with unmanageable debt and share God's love with them. We have all the resources of the Bradford head office to call on - it is they who organise a budget for the client to follow, deal with creditors and manage bill payments.
We are continually working to raise the profile of CAP in Exeter amongst all the agencies who might refer clients to us. We marked our official opening with a visit from Ben Bradshaw, MP who was very encouraging.

Our trained volunteers accompany us on visits and support our clients in all sorts of ways. There is also a dedicated CAP prayer task force - we can't do any of this amazing work in our own strength. It's a team effort so if you are able to help out in any way we'd love to hear from you. We’re currently booked up for client visits 7 weeks ahead. There is always room for new supporters if you are able to help in that way so do speak to Sue or Liz
Barn Dance in the Blossom- Saturday 8 May from 6pm A great event in the orchards of Whimple. Maypoling, a live band, local food, a bar and barn dancing. A little chilly but fortunately no rain. Thanks to all who came along and supported us and the helpers too. A great profit of £2000 for CAP, and also a donation towards the local school who helped out on the day.
