You’re Only Young Once
Yoyos is our network for primary school aged children.
We hope every child who comes to Yoyos will learn to love Jesus more, whilst experiencing His overwhelming mercy and grace that he has for everyone of us. Every Yoyos session is based upon the core values of ENC which are:
Everyone at ENC is encouraged to be 'strong at the core and blurred at the edge', and the children are no different. Being 'strong at the core' is where we find our security and value in the love Jesus has for us; and being 'blurred at the edge' means consciously reaching out to people in the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
FIRST, THIRD AND FIFTH SUNDAYS
In these sessions we learn about and experience Jesus through studying the Bible, and also by breaking into groups that focus on discussion, creative activities, games, and prayer times; these can be done in various group sizes or as individuals.
SECOND SUNDAY IN THE MONTH: CORE TEA
One of our main focuses every week is to understand what it means to cultivate a lifestyle of worship to God. One way in which we attempt this is to encourage children to learn to love serving one another and the wider world. Our core tea, where Yoyo members take the lead and serve one another is an example of this, and we feel it gives each child the chance to get involved themselves whilst deepening community.
FOURTH SUNDAY: YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
Once a month we focus on creative worship and Yoyos join The Blast (11-14 year olds) and we use song, prayer, reflection, stillness, ministry, noise and action to express our love and praise to God.
