Abide is our weekly Tuesday evening youth group for anyone in school years 10-13, where we enjoy fellowship through games, bible content, and time together in prayer groups called formations. Named after John 15, our prayer is that Abide would be a place where our young people can soak up time with the Lord, and bear His fruit in their lives.

Abide runs every Tuesday evening during term time, 7-9pm at Providence Chapel.

SOCIALS

Throughout the year we run lots of different socials, as a chance to have some fun and enjoy being together!

Whether it’s the trampoline park, swimming in the sea, games and craft at church, or a silent disco, these are always a highlight in the calendar, and a great event to invite your friends along to!

FORMATIONS

The last chunk of our evening each week is spent in formations - groups split by age and gender that aim to dig deeper in the context of fellowship. In formations we chat life, the bible, big questions, and everything in between. We believe prayer and community are two of the most important things about church, and so formations aim to exemplify both as much as they can!

WORSHIP NIGHTS

At least once a term we run a worship night in the usual Tuesday evening slot, often led by some of our young people! In these nights we praise the Lord together and seek His plan for the evening, often involving spirit-led prayer and prophetic words. Our aim is that all young people have the chance to experience the Holy Spirit and draw closer to God through these nights!

Matt is our Youth Leader, overseeing our Youth Ministry, which involves planning and leading our Sunday and Tuesday youth groups, and working with a great team of volunteers.

He’s passionate about investing in and building up our young people, pointing them to Jesus, and encouraging them to live more like Him.

If you wish to contact Matt email him at matt@enc.uk.net

We’ve got a great team of volunteer leaders who give their time to help out with youth - helping to run games, give talks, lead small groups, and all together investing in our young people! We’re so thankful for all that they do, and all the time that they give.

If youth sounds like fun, you’ve got a heart for young people and you’re keen to get involved, please do email Matt at the address above, or click the links below to read the role description and apply to join the team!
